The phone company has switched to 10-digit dialing in our area. Most people have a 7-digit
number stored in their dial-up settings. In theory, you should be able to add 256 before the
dial-up number (you do not need a 1), and it should work. However, we have just found that
for people using our alternate number of 256-691-0011, the calls are not going through.
If you are using the alternate number, please change the entire number to 256-547-6110.
We are currently working with AT&T to get the alternate number to work properly.
UPDATE: Adding 256 to the alternate number *IS* working for some people. Apparently, AT&T has
some bugs in their settings. If adding 256 works for you with the alternate number, go ahead and leave
it. If you get a message saying that you do not need to dial a long distance number, then try changing to our other phone number (with 256).
