Tuesday, October 6, 2015 – This afternoon we have experienced some issues with our power service from Alabama Power that has caused outages for multiple city blocks around us. Our Data Center has emergency Generator Power and experienced no down time due to this issue. However our offices do not run off of the generator and has caused a drop in our phone service. As of 3:50 P.M. line power has been restored and we are able to receive calls. We are sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.
The Comcast circuit at our office went down at approximately 7:10 PM affected some services and the downtown area of Gadsden. Technicians responded to the outage and arrived onsite shortly after to begin troubleshooting the issue. After working with Comcast support we were notifed that the outage was due to a failed node in the Comcast backbone and were given an ETA to repair for 11:12 PM. Currently our monitoring systems have notified us that the circuit is back online and all services have been restored as of 8:24 PM. We will continue to monitor the circuit and will post any updates.
June 11, 2012- Comcast users in the Downtown Gadsden area may be experiencing intermittent service disruptions due to an Outage affecting our node. Comcast let us know that the issue is being caused by a downstream receiver malfunction and have an ETR (Estimated time of Restoration) of 3:14 PM. We will continue to post updates as we get more information.
