Email Setup on Outlook 2003

These are the instructions for setting up your Network Solutions, Inc. hosted email if you have Microsoft Outlook 2003 for your email client.

1) Open Outlook by clicking on the icon.  If you have never setup Outlook for use with email, then you will get the screen below. If you have already setup an email account in Outlook, you will not see this page.  If that is the case, go to the Tools menu at the top, and click on  E-mail Accounts.  Put a dot next to “Add a new e-mail acount” and hit Next.

2) If you are setting up Outlook for the first time, you will get the following screen.  Hit Next.  If you are adding a new account to existing ones, you will not see this screen, but instead will see the next one.

3) Either method of setup (first time or additional account) will result in this screen now. Click the radio button next to POP3 as shown below.

4) Hit Next.

5) Fill in the information below as shown in the next pictures.  You will substitute in your name and email addresses.

6) Click the “More Settings…” button.

7) Click the Outgoing Server tab at the top.

8 ) Place a check by “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.

9) Click the Advanced tab at the top.

10) Put the cursor into the box with 25 in it as seen below, and delete the 25.

11) Replace the 25 with 587 as seen in the next picture and hit OK.

13) Hit Next.

14) Hit Finish.
